Reeves Watercolor have bad odor

Is it normal for the reeves watercolors to have a strong Odor?
First I bought a set and thought it maybe an old one, then I bought another set and it has the same strong odor

I have asthma and cannot use those strong smelling paints, now I am stuck with two sets and cant use either one of them

Re: Reeves Watercolor have bad odor

It's not uncommon for reeves paint to smell, in my opinion, i've had 3 boxes and they all have this strange odor. None of my other paints smell this way. You can get used to it, but if you have asthma then I'd suggest just switching to another brand.
