Like the 'facelift'. Very effective.

Re: Hitchhiker

It's still a great painting either way, but I liked the first version better (sorry ) because it had a "lost in space"/limbo feel. It had a great immediate "punch". Now the background is very busy and it takes away from the main focal point.

But that all said, I still like it.

Re: Hitchhiker

Wow- the new background seems to have lightened the foreground- I kept scrolling betweent the two just to be sure nothing else changed.
I love it! It's got me thinking up a story to go along with the scene.

Re: Hitchhiker

The older one was more mysterious but the new one is spookier. I love both.. Very creative and great blending.

Re: Hitchhiker

I agree. I think the additions added--not detracted--from the whole. And thank you for the timelapse WIP. Again, very nice.

Re: Hitchhiker

You have such a great style / kind to paint! I love both of the paintings.

Although I also have to admit: the first version made me more think about the painting: you can make up different stories, whether there is e.g. sun / luck/ dark etc behind that mist.
As well as one can try to imagine the person under the umbrella and make it up to one's own imagination, you can also do that with whatever is behind this mist.

(I hope you do not understand that as a critique. It's not meant to be one.)
