Sunlit Forest, Acrylic on canvas, 11x14

I wanted to post this in the critique section but it's not done and I'm not sure what to do with it. It's missing something. Does anyone have any ideas on how I might proceed? Maybe framing the sides and top with some darker foliage?

Hi. I think, for me anyway, the harshness of the lines of rays of light are too harsh. I would blend them out more. Then maybe add a little more darkness in areas for more dimension.

I thought so too. It has a sort of jerky feel to it. Please take a look later today on the acrylics forum and let me know what you think of the finished painting. Thanks for the response!

Where there is brightness there will be darkness ,not enough dark for me.If you look into the sun you lose a lot of colour and details .
