She is so beautiful, Robert! Love her rich turquoise eyes and the way you handled the fur on her hind leg, the curves of her body, the rich textures of her hair and those little endearing details. Delicate white claws lazily protruding on her hind feet. The details of her nose and her sweet expression. Great painting. She shows a lot of character!

oh yeah... here we go... Musky the young male Smilodon from my novel Elder's Pride. I chose to interpret the male Smilodons as having a slight mane as some prehistoric scholars do. It's open to debate, you can't tell from the tar pit bones what their fur was like. I also gave him ocelli, the little white back of the ear patch on a dark ear that tells the rest of the cats where you are and that you're a cat.

Wow. I'm getting better at the Smilodon reconstructions, didn't even look at any feline reference for Musky. Tried something different with the brush pen and broke the line a little more, like the results.
