Great dog with pointed ears! I know that breed, have a friend who loves that breed, name is on tip of my tongue. Gorgeous ears.

That is such a wide-eyed cute little kitten Robert. Love the expression.

Emma is beautifully painted with those alert eyes and pointed ears.

Great sketch of the fruit bat! Looks ready to transfer to canvas or paper for a serious painting!

Tempted to post my silver fish, but they're only turquoise where they're in the distance and the water affects the light. Would have to do something else for this one.

She is so beautiful, Robert! Love her rich turquoise eyes and the way you handled the fur on her hind leg, the curves of her body, the rich textures of her hair and those little endearing details. Delicate white claws lazily protruding on her hind feet. The details of her nose and her sweet expression. Great painting. She shows a lot of character!

Oh I know who I want to sketch for this... am I up to it right now... maybe...
oh yeah... here we go... Musky the young male Smilodon from my novel Elder's Pride. I chose to interpret the male Smilodons as having a slight mane as some prehistoric scholars do. It's open to debate, you can't tell from the tar pit bones what their fur was like. I also gave him ocelli, the little white back of the ear patch on a dark ear that tells the rest of the cats where you are and that you're a cat.

Ari cat life sketches and Smilodon fatalis from imagination.
5 1/2" x 7"
Double page pocket Moleskine accordion fold paper.

Wow. I'm getting better at the Smilodon reconstructions, didn't even look at any feline reference for Musky. Tried something different with the brush pen and broke the line a little more, like the results.

The next animal has a long tail...

ROBBIE - Jezebel is gorgeous. Love the background.

Good sketches there ROBERT

BOB ... fabulous work on that lovely cat.

DOMINIC ... love the alligator eye. Super pen and wash. Also like your European Otters a lot.

MARCUS
... Wonderful painting of those owls. The plumage is so well painted. They have a ruffled look which is hard to achieve and you have nailed it.
