My latest effort. The snow may have gotten a little out of control.

Re: Winter at the Old Mill

Very nice painting, good atmosphere and the snow is fine! The only part that's not convincing is the water, which looks more like a blue wall!

Great work, love the trees , they certainly do resemble the cold gray that is currently outside my window today. Your composition is lovely.
Well done. I have never seen snow, so I cant but imagine you have it right.

I love this scene. The trees are nicely done, I can really feel the depth. And the snow is perfect!

I don't think you overdid the snow. It has movement to it. I like it, nicely done.

That sounds so impossible to people from Canada.

Re: Winter at the Old Mill

You have a nice lineal decorative style. I agree about the snow looking fine, and I also agree that the water doesn't work as well. Overall, it's nicely painted, good line work.

Re: Winter at the Old Mill

Wonderful palette....very nice rural scene with plenty of wintery ambiance. Looks good...the angle of the water perspective could be straightened and softened a bit but it is a wonderful composition. Great work.

Looks good. The snow is convincing. The water does not bother me.

Re: Winter at the Old Mill

Thank you all for the kind comments and critique. The "never seen snow" comment kind blew my mind. I couldn't imagine life without even a little snow.

Sounds like a bucket list item to me.
