Bald Eagle

I recently encountered three bald eagles here at home. They were hanging around the field across the road from us and I had seen them flying around. At first, I didn’t know for sure if they were really bald eagles. But, after a while I knew they were. My dog and I were walking down the road one day when one came flying right for us. We stopped and watched and he flew right over us and away. Then I noticed a dead dear in the field right next to where we were standing. LOL! We were interrupting their lunch. Here is a portrait of a bald eagle. It is soft pastels on 9×13 velour paper.

Re: Bald Eagle

Sounds like an exciting encounter with the eagles, Ginny! It sounds like they gave you inspiration for this painting. Well done - especially with that eye. So powerful and strong. I love this!

Re: Bald Eagle

Thank you, Jenna and Kay. The eye is the only part of this picture that I like. LOL!

You have a unique and interesting style. Don't knock it. The eagle is great and the eye is beautifully rendered. Well done.
