Rough Seas

My first try at doing watercolor without reference photo. Just relied on memory......which tends to fade at times, or at least that is what my wife says.

Not to happy with it myself. Yarka watercolors on old Winston Newton 140lb paper 13X17 inch in size. Did use some white acrylic in foam at places.

Re: Rough Seas

I think your sky is beautiful and I love the rolling waves and the colours you've used! The spray looks very realistic, and the movement in the FG!

Re: Rough Seas

This is a beautiful painting -- with or without a reference photo. The colors are gorgeous.

Re: Rough Seas

What's not to like? You did a great job - especially the sky and the distant waves.

Very good...gorgeous colors...agree that a few birds would be a nice addition.

Re: Rough Seas

Nearly missed this one. Colours spot on and movement is captured really well.
