Re: Hi from Yorkshire

Thank you all for the warm welcome to W/C. Wow , what a forum this is, will take years to find my way round this .

Greg asked ( tell us a little more about yourself )
Well i am 54 years old married 3 grown up kids , i am now a part time HGV driver working 5 hours per day. my best mate is George my English Springer Spanial , only 12 weeks old just now and keeps me on my feet.

Started painting in watercolours quite a few years back but could not get the hang of them so moved on to oils but i had a skin reaction to the paints so back to watercolours, I then found that i was ok with acrylics so now i paint with them most of the time. Watercolours , i love them but sometimes i just can not get them right at all , there again one or two turn out half good. At the moment i am doing loads of scetches with watercolours to try and get a better understanding of them , which at the moment taking years , lol.
Anyway , once again thanks for the warm welcome to WC

Colin.

HI Colin - welcome from this part of the country!

In my signature line you'll find links to Acrylics and to our monthly challenge there.

Where in Yorkshire are you? - we spend a good deal of Spring and Summer near Pately Bridge - our second home!

Good bio! Watercolors, and all art mediums take a lifetime to understand so if you ever think you've got it down then you are doing something wrong! Never stop learning and improving LOL. I've been painting in oils for 30 years and am constantly learning how to handle the paint.

Love springer spaniels!! What a wonderful dog I am sure
