Elephant Drinking

Hi guys, here's a small 5x7 of an elephant. I've called it "Elephant Drinking". I'm hoping the high contrast wet skin with the bright African sun on it shows that it's in the water and of course the position of the trunk indicates drinking. It's from one of my own references as usual, this time from Chobe in Botswana.

Re: Elephant Drinking

Patrick, you've succeeded. The wetness is apparent and the piece is exquisite.

Re: Elephant Drinking

So wonderful that you have such great references to work from. This piece is so fine. The wet skin, the cropped view.

Re: Elephant Drinking

Reminds me of a beautiful jewel... the shininess on his hide makes it a treasure.
