– any other reason?Your choice may have been shown in your own thread or in any of the challenge threads in the forum.
Please note that we will remove work if they do not fit the above criteria.:)

It’s the Gatineau Park image from the references.I chose this one as I seldom do landscapes and needed to try to stay loose! It was an enjoyable couple of hours painting!:)

It’s fun for me though not as easy as I originally thought it would be. https://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1361379

January 4, 2015 at 11:38 am #527625January 4, 2015 at 9:59 pm #527633This was an experiment ITSO Leroy Nieman. Pushed the palette to enhance the action. Donated it to minor league booster club for their silent auction. Turned out it never made it to the auction table. The GM of the baseball team has it hanging in his office. He bought it for $25.

January 5, 2015 at 10:57 am #527631It was fun to paint this Christmas card using my brother-in-law and his grandchildren, influenced by the style of Raphael.

https://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1431363January 5, 2015 at 12:33 pm #527623Done from a photo I took at a local museum. This one was a bit challenging because of overexposure of the view outside and the shading on the log walls. But I like how it turned out in the end.

A picture from a photo I took in 2010 while on a trip to Ireland. I think it’s my best from last year, but it’s also where my mother used to spend summers with her mother when she was a small child in the 1930s.

January 12, 2015 at 11:12 am #527638I painted this one actually right towards the end of the year. The title is “Rising” and depicts my German Shorthaired Pointer on point with a flushing pheasant. I chose this piece for two reasons; 1. I feel this is the best work on any structure that I’ve done so far and still being relatively new, I feel I made some good strides in this work; 2. I ended up giving this painting to my Grandfather for his 92nd birthday and he really enjoyed it.
