New freeform florals

I have been busy painting. I tend to use my "artistic license" on these so the colors and sometimes the flower itself is tweeked!!! Hope you like!

Re: New freeform florals

These are all awsome, Susan. I especially like the third one. Do you paint them first and then cut them out or are they cut first and then painted. Being done on masonite must make you quite accomplished with a skill saw. I went to your Blog and loved all of your work, very unique, quite colorful and mastrerfully executed.

These look like flowing fabric, moving and changing color. Lovely.

Re: New freeform florals

Thanks Elaine, Ron, Paula & Kay. These are painted on triple primed untempered masonite. I lay them out and luckly my husband has a shopsmith with a bandsaw to cut the shapes. He does this for me so I don't lose and fingers! Then they are painted many layers with fluid acrylics and then varnished 3 times.
Thanks for the comments
Susan

Where is Solon, IA? I live in Omaha and am wondering how close we are.

Re: New freeform florals

The tulips 22X23 inches and the lily is approx 24" X 22". They are made to hang on the wall. I had to order short screws on the internet to connect hanging hardware with.
Glad you like!!!!
