We must leave our mark on this worldJuly 20, 2018 at 2:56 am #660241Hello Doug and all to come
I am beat! :clear: I walked my feet almost off today, and after yesterdays marathon too. In fact i have not stopped all week..
I met my friend Barb in South Bank and we spent 5 hours together. It was wonderful, and I will really miss her a whole lot. She is off to New Brunswick on Monday, where she lives for 6 months of the year..

Thank you
Anita, I really am not sure. The radiologist report shows a legion in my ureter, and specialist says it is not there..

July 20, 2018 at 5:00 am #660252Morning all.
Sunny morning. Rain forecast but bet it almost fizzles out before it reaches here; maybe wetter further north. Wife tells me some umbrellas up at the golf at Carnoustie.
Shan’t do much today; bad disturbed night and woke up late with headache. Maybe a shower and breakfast will revive me. A small holidaying Welsh Collie is urging me to get up … better go.

My Flickr SiteJuly 20, 2018 at 5:08 am #660243everyone,
Up too early again. It’s 15 right now going up to 30. Slight chance of showers.Brian and I both have a lot on our “to do” list today. He has to help my son fix an outdoor tap so it should probably be early before it heats up too much. I’ll start with the gym folllowed by my usual daily chores. I finished the pruning yesterday. Today I’ll be watering some dry areas of the yard and fertilizing the grass. I’ll mow the grass tomorrow when it’s not our day to water. I have never had so many weeds in my lawn. They are the small kind that you can’t dig out. I think I’ll find out how much it would be for the Weedman to do one treatment.
So a typical day here. I’ll start with breakfast and a few online things and get moving. Have a great start to your weekend everyone.

July 20, 2018 at 5:10 am #660244Good day all,
Kinda in-between sleeps, as I awoke with shoulder pain from the shot.
Ms. Feral wants food but I dare not open the door, as I already smell a skunk is nearby. She can wait.
We have a good chance of getting rain too.
Mike, hope you feel better.
I bought 15 lbs. of blueberries yesterday to make some blueberry wine. Never made it before but have made some good elderberry wine.

July 20, 2018 at 5:57 am #660236Good Morning all,
It is almost 6:00 a.m. here in not quite getting light Oakwood. We have rain in the forecast for today too. Hope it does, the trees and grasses are really thirsty.I’m off to a planning session with the board for the upcoming year of The TriArt Society. I write the newsletters each month as Corresponding Secretary. I will also be doing the program in March on gallery-wrapped watercolors.
Mike, Sorry you had such a poor sleep. Hope you feel better soon.
Bill, My uncles who owned a small grocery store in Scranton, Pennsylvania, used to make wine (with grapes). I don’t think I ever tasted any since I was just a little girl when I visited them. Have fun making your blueberry wine.
JJ, You do seem to cover a lot of ground with your journeys around the city and surrounds.
to Doug, Annie, Geoff, Ellen, and all who are on their way.

July 20, 2018 at 6:14 am #660245Well, I relented and fed Ms. Feral. She abides the odor but not me. The door was quickly closed.

July 20, 2018 at 8:19 am #660237Good Morning!!
Bright sunshine, nice cool morning but the temperature will be climbing back up to 30C plus humidity, of course.
I guess I should water the garden again:rolleyes:
Doors and windows are open right now.
Well, all went as planned with the purchase of the car. It is lovely, zappy, looks like brand new and I’ll have to get used to the way it feels and handles and learn about the different buttons:) Right now I still miss my old one but it’ll only take me a few days to get used to this one.
The youngster at Toyota who bought my Tercel is delighted and some of his young friends at Toyota are jealous
With all the running around I let the housework slip so this will be a catch-up day. I am also going to make some bean dip for snack food.
Bill, that will be a very healthy wine:)
JJ, you are going on overdrive again. Sorry you didn’t get a clear answer as to what is right or wrong healthwise.
Mike, sorry about your bad sleep.
Doug, Geoff, Annie, Sylvia and Ellen to you and I wish us all a really good day.

July 20, 2018 at 8:29 am #660239Good Morning Washers! It’s sunny and pleasantly warm 24C with rain promised this afternoon. There isn’t a cloud to be seen.
We made a quick trip to town, to pick up a small 3 drawer cabinet to set beside the hoosier. There is absolutely nowhere in my spickety new cupboards to store potatoes and onions. So, we moved the antique stool from that spot and placed the little chest there. It fits perfectly. It looks natural. And one drawer now has potatoes in it, one drawer has onions and garlic and the lower drawer houses a big bag of flour and a smaller bag of raw sugar that are waiting to fill my canisters.
Then we stopped at Giant Tiger to pick up a mini waffle maker for the Kids. McKenzie loves waffles and this little unit was on clearance for only $5.
The motorhome has come back home with us. It was expensive. But all the major maintenance that should have been done over the years by the previous owner are now up to date. For example, replacing all the smoke alarms (small maintenance) was a big deal… they had expired in 2011.
Steve, your health situation has most assuredly brought you to that place where you must face your mortality. I admire your candor about your struggles each day because you inspire others with serious health conditions to live their best lives.
My Stepfather made wine from his own grapes. It was awful stuff. My Grandfather brewed his own beer. It was the best home brew!
My only plans today are to head down into the Studio. That’s it, that’s all.
Have a great day, everyone! :grouphug:

July 20, 2018 at 11:39 am #660250Good morning. When I was ready to go to bed last night, I just could not go to sleep. So, I grabbed my laundry and did it in the middle of the night. I do not want to be responsible for blowing up the electric grid today. We are going up to 110 today with a feels like Las Vegas at noon.
I have been on the hunt for a replacement travel case for my iPad. Only found one at Best Buy, but it was $50. Last night, I went online and found one on sale for $10 (exactly the same as the one at Best Buy) on the Walmart site. Free shipping to my local store for pickup so I do not have to worry about someone stealing it off my doorstep. The best part, I did not have to pay anything for it…I used my savings catcher funds.
Today is going to be a play day with my miniatures. It is too hot to even attempt to do anything strenuous.
Hi to everyone, off to fold laundry from last night.

"Imagination is more important than knowledge."- EinsteinJuly 20, 2018 at 11:52 am #660253A good Friday greeting to all………hot, humid and severe thunderstorm warnings for later in the day…high winds, lightening, hail, possibly tornadoes …all that fun stuff.
It’s Friday and that means house husband duties…..first load of laundry already going, bed stripped …..getting an early go at it. If we get the storms they think, it’s a good chance we won’t have power later today…..fun, fun, fun.
Will most likely spend the rest of the day in the studio.
Healing thoughts to all in need….need to eat some breakfast. BBL
Be good, do good……..peace.
