Re: Weeders' Chat Room: pop in and share your news here ;)

glad to hear your gout is under control Guilli, my DH has been plaqued with it the past couple years, so he avoids what makes it flair up (like beer and strawberry daiquiris) lol.
heat wave all over here and time for fall. have been digging up the garden
this week, and will Try and paint some rooms next week.
just got back from a 3 day workshop on mixed media.
maybe some inspiration now

Re: Weeders' Chat Room: pop in and share your news here ;)

...hi all, my what a lot of illness I see here. Sending healing hugs to all who need them.
I guess I'm one of those that has fallen by the wayside somewhat, I just don't seem to have the time since moving back to uk. So much to finish in this place, not complaining on that front, I love Cumbria.
My daughter and her hubs are still really struggling with their health, she now has fibromyalgia added to her list of ailments, and her hubs has just had a biopsy on another lump, so waiting to hear back about that....another reason I'm less able to get into things on here, brain very much preoccupied.
Plus we have a doglet now, sweet Nelly, just a year old, and so much energy.
Will try and get back into painting mode sometime soon, after the two art exhibitions and craft fair that are looming in the next two weeks...will just have to stay as a lurker for a while longer me thinks.
...take care all

I understand your distractions Kat, you have SO much work in your place but oh so worth it. everyone: Kat and I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out for a week this spring, what a wonderful time. hugs for you and prayers for sweet Claire and her hubs, sure hope things work out ok for him, and that she can keep control of the fibromyalgia, I have a few friends and an uncle who suffer with it.
ear scratches for sweet Nelly, I love her to bits.
hope you back has healed, (quite hauling all those rocks)

our fall show is done, we had a lovely show and I sold a few things, next up, a 2 day popup sale with 4 other artists, then just chill in the studio. and creat till spring show.
the cold air is moving in, yesterday was the last warm day of the year methinks, yard is readier for winter than I am.
keep creating everyone!!

Re: Weeders' Chat Room: pop in and share your news here ;)

Just want to say hello to everyone here and I am so grateful for this place. Going into winter especially need to have access to art friends and this forum.
Best wishes to all having health problems. We had a huge wind storm here yesterday. Lots of trees down and flooding in the lower lands (luckily we are on high ground)- no power all day. Yes, preparing for winter is what we need to do now, but hard to get out side when I would rather be painting.

Re: Weeders' Chat Room: pop in and share your news here ;)

Merry Christmas everyone. and prayers and wishes for good health in the new year,
I had a scare this week which makers me so grateful for every day,
my DH had a heart attack after shovelling snow last Friday. called 911, and they ended ups having to do compressions and shocking him back, headed right to ER and up to the CCU to have a stent put into a blocked coronary, (90% blockage)
good news is that there is no heart muscle damage, and just one blockage,
also good that we live a pretty healthy lifestyle or who knows how this would have gone if we did not. still have to make some life changes, but we are ok with that.
an eye opener just the same, after a tough year of losing 3 family members and 3 friends, we thought we might be invincible.
anyway just wanted to share, and say how much I appreciate my WC friends

Re: Weeders' Chat Room: pop in and share your news here ;)

So glad the outcome was a happy one Bonnie.... my best wishes to your husband and also to you! How fortunate you were there when it happened .... now have a lovely, peaceful Christmas?

Happy Christmas to all others too, health and contentment also, because if you have those, you'll be happy too!

I have another gastroscopy tomorrow, so starvation mode after dinner tonight until tomorrow afternoon .... but that's minor compared to some!
Played bowls yesterday, first time or a month because of the virus I've had ... paying for it today though.... putting up two Christmas trees also, after coming home didn't help, but at least the house looks a bit more festive now!

Oh Bonnie, that's so scary. Glad that both of you are well and open to making some lifestyle changes.

Maureen - it's so tempting to do lots of things and then it turns out we overdid it and have to pay for it - boo hiss - glad your home is festive and hope the procedure goes smoothly.

Re: Weeders' Chat Room: pop in and share your news here ;)

Hello.
Remember me?
I haven't been too well this last couple of years and also had issues with my eyes. I haven't really done anything for 2 years.
I'm just getting back into the swing of it all. Mainly working up my muscles with dry work, just colouring or scrawling in my sketchbook journal. I did do a couple of little sketches with my pocket wc set in Wales last year.
Ive missed you and participating. I hope to post some work soon.
I have a commission to complete by enof March though so I had better get myself back in gear and out of this funk.
