Hello all. I’m Sandra and I’m excited to be your host for this month (apologies for not posting this thread yesterday).
The theme for this month is going to be Plants, animals, and water.
The rules are:
1. No reveal date, so post whenever you finish these.
2. No size restrictions, but watermedia should be the majority of the work.
3. Most of these are from our RIL, so please credit the photographer for the ref.
4. Have fun!!!Here are the images:

Hope you enjoy these (you all knew I had to have a cat in here for Robert and Vivien). As these are being posted a day later than I planned, you can have until August 2 to post your work.

July 3, 2018 at 7:56 pm #651776Ok. So. I am trying to pick things for these challenges that I am uncomfortable with. I …. suck at landscapes.
So I tried the beach. And I thought it was boring. So I added a brobdingnagian man in the sky. Lol.
Also my current sketchbook is a Stillman and Birn Nova series in Beige. I have been mixing watercolor and gouache for doodles, but the tone really does deepen and change the feel of a painting. Kinda diggin it, but it was definitely a change of mentality and application. And not so conducive to pretty blue skies. Lol
July 3, 2018 at 8:57 pm #651757Your beachscape is really nice! Landscapes are not my forte either. The man in the clouds is a whimsical touch and I like him.
