In ref the head is tilted a bit, to match it you need to do the same or likeness will be off. Unless you are using the ref tilted to get a level view painting..?
A grid can help to keep major features in proper placement..

just to compare I levelled the ref and added a warmer tone overall. maybe that will help.. The tilted head is cute but harder to get angles of eyes/ears etc lined up correctly.. unless a grid is used.

consider rotating your reference and your work upside down to check your lines, sizes, shapes. nose could be bigger, lips wider, cheeks wider. you've drawn a puppy and your reference is an older dog.

Ok the lady iam doing the painting for likes the color of the dog and said it looks like her, I changed the one ear so it's not floped back. But iam wondering about the fur on the dogs chest what is you think and any thing else
