I’m looking to expand my watercolor palette and wondered what people think of handmade watercolors you can buy on Etsy. I’ve seen quite a few brands (Letter Sparrow, Antithesis Arts, Pfeiffer Art Supply, Redwood Willow, Greenleaf and Blueberry… just to name a few). I wondered if anybody has tried these and would recommend them… or if I should just stick to brands I can get at the art store.
I’d also like to open it up to lesser known brands. I just got the Boku-Undo E Sumi set and I think it’s lovely!
I’d love any feedback on these brands and others!

March 5, 2018 at 5:07 am #578342Why not to try to create your own watercolor? It is so easy and funny!

Sennelier pigments range is 7,04 euros for 120 gr of raw sienna and 22,73 euros for 150 gr Cadium Yellow.
Most expensive is 130 gr of Cobalt Blue for 43,23 euros.
But lots of paint you can make with it.Cheers!
