Oil and acrylic on cardboard. This one’s big: 90 x 60 cm.
So, I was staying for week in Mexico City in June. It was my first time in Latin America. I was very impressed by the massive city, as it is bigger than any of the three European countries I’ve lived in. I was waking up at weird times, because jet lag. When I woke up I took photos from my hotel balcony on the eighteenth floor.
The painting is partly based on the photos and partly on memory. It was painted as a part of a course called remembered landscape at the Leith School of Art.
