Re: Waltteri Reunamo Fine Art - Improvement Journal

Looks like you have a good base upon which to make choices on how you want to draw, so that is a good start. Unusual as it may be, my personal focus with sketches is not improvement at all anymore, instead I am interested in recording information in a way that is useful to me. With my current set of skills, I am capable of doing just that now, with the focus being different from one sketch to another. My focus on form and lighting is sometimes most important, other times it is more on gesture or structure, and sometimes line or expression.

I like your use of line and tone in the most example, would probably be an extremely fast way to get information down. Have you any goals for what your style might look like one day, maybe a specific artist who’s work you want to emulate?

Yes, Zdzislaw Beksinski. So completely different what I am doing right now. Giger also maybe. I do enjoy drawing realistic things and in style of Repin etc ,but it's not what kind of style I want to do the rest of my life.

Re: Art of Walt Reunamo - Style Exploration Journal

Excellent, with a destination in mind it becomes easier to make a map for how to get there. It seems like there is a great deal of focus on mood and atmosphere in their work. I shall continue to be checking in to see how you are coming along.
