I did the skater in ArtRage pastel the background is oil paint. It feels very static to me. Any suggestions for movement. All comments and advice are appreciated. Thanks.
ps: while I don’t pay for flickr pro I post the limited number and groups. I was pleased that the group Sports Drawing and Painting posted my skier in the opening works of the flickr site.

instagram.com/ababadartFebruary 11, 2020 at 10:06 am #945564I also like this work of yours, the figure and environment where it interacts, the colors.
on the movement, you said, I don’t know if my impression makes sense, is it possible to cut out the figure? (cut only a part and tilt,?), lift it a little from the ground and tilt it, turning it a little to the left, straightening it, so that it would appear in flight but close to landing, being more straight. would this give an impression of flight, landing, give us a greater impression of flight, movement, or would it remove movement?
I don’t know if my thought makes sense, if I’m wrong it would have the opposite effect
ps: the group made an excellent choice- C & C welcome ( comments and criticisms highly appreciated)

To suggest movement maybe de-emphasise and blur the background slightly. At the moment the figure looks a bit ‘locked in’ to a solid mass.C&C always welcome.
