Small Mounted Art Quilts

I am working on a group of small art quilts, as I slowly prepare for the Great Dickens Christmas Fair this Nov- Dec. I used pieces that I already had last year and that worked pretty well. But I think smaller pieces have more appeal to the average Fair guest. And I think some kind of mounting helps the piece say "art."

"Thin Air"

"Red Sky at Night"

"Tuscan Grove"

These photos were taken before putting the frame beneath. All I am doing is taking small wooden frame, painting the sides to go with the piece, and then using sticky velcro to attach.

The backs of each has commercial felt, which stitcks to the hook side of the velcro.

More photos when I get things mounted.

Fascinating!
I really love the "red sky" one.

Great idea to mount them. Lovely pieces.

Thanks you two. The mountain one is a little strange. My husband is always tactful and encouraging, but between the lines his reaction tells me I need to do more with it!
