EP, fun tootsies. Nice on the brown paper with white. Nice.

Ai, love your pastels, you look like you are having fun. The sketches at the Bonsai village are so nice. Don't be afraid to take the paper off and break them so you can use the side of the pastel for a wide swatch, like a wide brush with a light touch. You are doing so well. Applause. And thanks. :-)

individuo, great grapes. Made me go get a snack of grapes. Congrats on trying something new.

Mary and I went to Fisherman's Park and used ink and watercolor. I sketched so slanted, will look at that better and see why I do that. I do it often.

Number 7 - place, Fisherman's Park

And my niece Mary's sketch, our first time to sketch together. (She is an adult.)

Jo: Thanks ... About pastel advice of removal of wrapping paper... I was feeling it too as I could not get the broad stroke... but then I was like ...but what if I have to replace the stick ... what was the color number to refer too in the future...hahaha ... really thanks for this confirmation from you. I also feel that I need more bigger paper so I can use the line generated from pastel sticks to the proper scale. I was using some A4 office paper ... I had some Mitiens paper passed down to me from late Kirvin ... but I could not find them when I leave for the trip.... She also had passed down me a bigger set of Sennelier soft pastel... I need to use them more...

Your park sketch and tree sketch is lovely with colors. Pls. invite Marry to join our Hunt. She did so well and I'm glad you have another cool sketch buddy.

Joan - miss 4 things from NY. Snow on Christmas Day (only!), fall colors, bagels and pizza

Ai - so many media and all well done!?? I like the kind of abstract look of the first landscape, great ellipses on the water bottle, love the pastel bonzai tree and riverscape. I
had same fear about color numbers on pastels until was told you need to make a color chart marking each with brand and number. I keep Rembrandt in the box so keep the wrapper under the pieces.

Individuo - excellent work on the jar. Grapes look juicy and ready to eat..

Jo. Nice pen sketches. The digi looks like pastel. Thought it was until I read. Think til it is natural angle. You have to turn the medium…or the arm

Mary - Welcome. Love all the greens almost lifting the bridge.

Ep - love the foot and the interpretation. Graphite ink and cp now that is multimedia.

I got sidetracked working on my Christmas card. Hope to do more in next hunt.

Keep sketching
Joe

Thanks everybody.

Jo, lovely and fun sketches in the park! Your niece's is great too, very pleasant to my eye and love that bridge. I join the request for her joining in

Ai, thank you very much for hosting, I had fun . Maybe you could jot down the color numbers of your pastels on the box.

See you all in the next one.
