This little guy is just too cute - those eyes are adorable and what can I say about the drool??!! I am sure the recipient is going to be so pleased - what a lovely gift!

Beautiful job! I can't imagine being able to capture that drool! I bet your co-worker will be over the moon. Is this a surprise? Angela

Re: Portrait of my co-worker's son

Thanks Robert, and Virgo.

Angela, yes this is a surprise. I stole the picture off his computer when he was out of the office one day, and never told him. I am going to put it in a frame, and etch the baby's name into the glass of the frame, right over where the mat will be.

My mom told me that the left (our left) ear bothers her. I guess the top is not shaped right...so I will be looking at that when I get home tonight and see if it's necessary to tweek it.

Have a good day everyone

Re: Portrait of my co-worker's son

That ear would have been a hard one, since it is bent forward....barely noticeable if it is off a tiny bit. But, if you are a perfectionist like me, I know you will change it.

This will be such a great surprise gift!

Re: Portrait of my co-worker's son

Ok, this one is done too. All I did to fix the ear, was straighten a line, and add more hair over the top. He has been sprayed and framed and will be wrapped tonight. Thanks for all your help on him too!

Re: Portrait of my co-worker's son

I just gave this to my co-worker and he loved it. He was very moved and was not expecting that. And he said that is actually his favorite picture of his son. So out of all the pictures in his office, I picked a good one to draw. I made him promise to lie for me before I would give it to him, though. I wouldn't tell him what the lie was until he opened the gift, but that he couldn't have the gift til he promised to lie. I have been getting a couple of people asking me about doing portraits for them since I put cards on my desk, and don't want to do anything to ruin that by giving freebies...so I told him that he has to tell people that he paid me to do the portrait, and since it was so close to Christmas, I framed it for him as his gift. He agreed, and said he'd even embellish, making a big deal out of my not giving him a discount either. lol. He is also going to catch his wife's reaction to it on video for me so I can watch it.

Re: Portrait of my co-worker's son

Jenna, such a nice thing you have done! I love the etching on the glass too, it just finishes it off and makes it unique. I hope you get some work out of this because you deserve to, but what a load of Karma points you get for doing something so nice for someone! Congratulations.
