Is there a market for this kind of stuff? If you follow W C Fields quote then i guess there must be!

Nb: Does this apply to Bob Ross copies as well?

Re: Need pricing help!

It would be very impressive if someone got Bob Ross to answer an email question on this topic...

You will still need to sign it appropriately.

Re: Need pricing help!

But for the life of me, I can't imagine why anyone wants to try and sell copies of other people's paintings instead of their own.

You clearly have skill to put paint to the canvas, and I'm curious why you don't seem interested in developing yourself as an artist...from start to finish?

Re: Need pricing help!

Developing myself as a painter and creating my style is the eventual goal. Right now, I am soaking up as many techniques as possible from others to build up a skill set. Tutorials is my method for that right now.

Selling was not my main interest at all, nor is it a main interest now. I paint for myself and some friends. But if someone wishes to buy a painting that I do from my tutorials, I wanted to know some answers there.

That makes sense. Just sign it correctly.

And please, jump off the cliff and believe in yourself and start painting your own from start to finish. It's full of lessons you can't get any other way. Just paint something in front of you. Anything!

Re: Need pricing help!

Price depends on the market. Market parameters vary. Set your price. If it does not sell, either increase or decrease the price. Eventually, you will learn your fair market value in your area.

Jumped off the cliff a little with the one below (a present for my son). Did use someone else's artwork for a reference since my son liked it, but all application choices came from my head in my attempt.
