A long time

Hello print-makers:
It has probably been five years or more since I posted anything in this forum. I'm usually posting in the figure forum. But the last print I did, a couple of years ago, I don't believe I have posted it and thought I would share it with you. I'll probably move back into printmaking in the near future after I complete a few more paintings (most of my activity for the last five years.) All of the prints I do are woodcut and linoleum cut or combining the two.
This last one is a portrait of a dear friend of mine whom I have known since my college days. (I'm now 78) He is a very successful poet, retired from Dayton University - Herbert Woodward Martin. The words in the background are from his epic poem "Log of the Vigilante". The title of the print is "The Poet".

Re: A long time

Oh that's brilliant, love it, very inspiring!

I've been doing some linocut onto printed material (books etc) and I'm messing about with drypoint and lino with words (my words/poems/rhymes). So thanks for showing your print. I think it's awesome.
