You got it well, sort of, kiddo. Just trim around your actual photo in Adobe. If you do it any other way, the white remains.
Sometimes it looks gone but if you see scroll bars after resizing, the white is still there even if you don't see it.
Always use Trim right after opening your image in Photodeluxe!
I've found it better to Trim before you set the phote size or do anything else to it after scanning depending on your scanner settings.
