Arrow The Oil Gusher Mar.19 - Mar. 25

Good morning everyone,

Well, it soes seem strange to wake up and see the white ground. First time all winter, butit should melt before the end of the week. Busy week coming up as I intend to finish the portrait and get back to my OPs. Our seeds arrived for our veggie garden, but I think we are a long way from planting.

So come in and share your joys, concerns...or just the day to day routine and lets get aquainted.

Have a great day

Pat

Hi Pat. We've got seeds from one catalogue so far, but the potatoes are held back till closer to planting time (mid to end of May here). We do start our peppers in doors or they would never ripen in time. Its snowing today but it's supposed to warm up and be sunny for the next few days. It's the sunshine which I long for, and getting rid of boots and mitts and scarfs etc. will sure be nice. Soon I hope. Jane

You plant potatoes? We've never tried them. One summer awhile back when we visiting my sister and husband on Martha's Vineyard, my DH decided to help out our BIL by mowing the lawn. Gues what he mowed down....the potatoes.. Every one had a good laugh over that and the potatoes survived.
Now that we have seriously decreased the size of our garden, we don't grow peppers and tomatoes by seed anymore. We buy the plants, but all the squashes and cukes are by seed as well as beets and lettuce.
The poor robins are wandering around all over the place on top of our late snowstorm. I've tried to feed them raisins, but they don't seem interested.
The March sun is working it's magic.

Pat

Hi Pat and Jane, hope the snow is all gone for you both. It was nice you tried to feed the robins, Pat, even though they would not eat the raisins, I hope they survived the surprise snow storm. It was very nice here Tuesday and Wednesday, but rainy ever since and supposed to rain tomorrow too. Very gloomy all day long. Still plugging away on the studio room Will have to take an art break soon.

Well the snow is just about gone and it does seem as if all the robins survived. They have been through worse around here.
The clent pidked up his portrait yesterday, so that is done and now I can get back to my OPs. It's a story in itself that I'll have to tell you about sometime. Actually you can see it in the portrait link.

Beautiful spring day today. Makes me want to start digging in the dirt...eew...it's a little muddy.

Have a great day.
