A small 6×8 of Petunias- I learn a bit more with work on color, brush drawing, edges, application, and interpretation each time- and fun to paint!

Comments or Critiques welcomed...always!July 11, 2018 at 1:55 am #656010Really good . Dont you think a darker background will make the flowers stand out more ? I am a novice(in oil painting) btw, so take it with a grain of salt.

July 11, 2018 at 8:49 am #656008Thank you Monsur! The white flowers originally had a much sharper edge, and gave them a ‘cutout’ appearance and much more attention. So, I softened them quite a bit. This seemed to balance the focus more equally to both the white and red.
