        I am most concerned with composition here. Having done a line drawing I tried to make sure I was crossing lines but it still looks like something is missing. The first one is the painting and the second image the photo. Any help with color harmony and composition will be greatly appreciated. I took this photo on my way to Great Falls.

            The lake in your painting may be too big and detracting from the hill behind.It is also very blue which the lake in the photo is reflecting the colours of the hill and ground.Hope this helps :)

                I agree with the comment of the lake shape – but just cutting in straight on the bottom will bring the perspective angle closer to the picture, however i notice the cutting line of the hill just above seems to be on a curve instead of straight almost like its in a belly…the line just above the pond (road or something) in the image its a straight line. Overall love the picture you have done a great job.
