Re: Air compressors

I can refer to the Central Pneumatic 21 gallon air compressor to use. Personally, we use this compressor. We get 125 psi of max pressure from this compressor. It is also portable machine because it has two wheels and one handle for easy transportation.

Re: Air compressors

What size air compressor would be recommended for a spray gun like this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...UJGMJQPO&psc=1

I want to spray (isolation) clear coats and Golden Varnishes on my artworks that are typically 18x24" or smaller. I want something strong enough to give an even fine mist but hopefully not too large for my purposes.

Post Re: Air compressors

For air brush painting, an oil-less air compressor is recommended and you should buy a water filter to trap water. Buying a water filter is must if you don't want water to be mixed with the painting.

Re: Air compressors

It’s around $100 but after going through two noisy, unreliable cheap air compressors this one is gold! Airbrush Depot TC-20T. You might be able to find one second hand, as I had gotten mine, that will shave a few bills off the price..

Re: Air compressors

Oh darn, I missed the post about the small spray gun.. what I posted is great for an airbrush.. I have a “big boy” air compressor for spray guns but that would be overkill for a 18x24 or smaller canvas.. Obviously you’ll have to spray outside or in a well ventilated industrial area (garage or other shop space) The overspray will be everywhere from any spray gun. Using the spray gun outside of the House noise won’t be an issue and a cheap o pancake compressor should work sufficiently for said small paintings..
