Re: WIP: Apples in a plasticbag

Thanks guys hope I don't disappoint you with this update, about to pull my hair out getting frustrated, so taking a break from it and afraid I'll over work the paper in places.
Here's the update, the colors are a little different from the first one, because of the time of day the photo was taken, but mostly the background color.
Still a lot to do on the plastic in several places and the shadow on the wall.

AquaMarine: Thanks, I really like this paper because of the amount of pastel it will hold, but be careful, it can take some your skin off the fingertips if you work it too much

Re: WIP: Apples in a plasticbag

No need for any frustration as far as I can see, this is fabulous!! A few adjustments in values needed on the bag maybe, but you'll work it out - no doubt about it! Look forward to the next update.....

Re: WIP: Apples in a plasticbag

Thanks guys!

Merethe T: Well it's been frustrating at times about the values on the bag, is it too bright/white in places? Thanks

Alberto P: Thank you very much

Re: WIP: Apples in a plasticbag

Well hi there Nic....I am so glad that I caught this one....love it!! The values on the bag may well read better once the background is completed. There are so many types of plastic bags...soft translucent ones and crisp clear ones so they all show differently. This is going to be super no matter what!

Cheers, Di

This is looking really good to me. Love your shadows on the wall, especially the top one. The values on the bag are looking OK to me.
Have you painted the background or is that the colour of the card?

Re: WIP: Apples in a plasticbag

Hi Di..... Thank you very much! I think you're right about the values, just not sure what the background color should be.

marionh: Thank you! No it's not painted yet that's the color of the card.

George and Bhavana: Thank you so much
