I like this, Shantelle!
The face on the little girl with the seeds is byond charming!

I've got a couple suggestions, but I think we should have to post an image, before we can suggest a theme. My mind is a blank for gardening, though, so I'll have to wait until the next round...

Re: "let's illustrate no.1 - "together in the garden"

Here's mine! please don't tell the colored pencil forum that I butchered their medium!

this is fairly large, done on drawing paper and scanned in. I had to assemble it in photoshop. I'm not really done with it. I need to darken the water and I had invisioned a background of fig leaves.

It's my garden and everything that creeps into it. I don't use chemical pesticides so I often get lots of 'extras' stopping by for visits

c&c welcome!

oh yeah, this is also part of one of my new years resolutions to make more finished art as opposed to the sketches that I normally do

~Cassie~

I like it, Cassie! I like the stealthy little critters in the plants / puddles. Nice modelling on the peppers and tomato.

Re: "let's illustrate no.1 - "together in the garden"

Cassie, I love the frog, although I'm not fond of the tomato worm...little buggers eat too much of my garden every year!

Shantel, my poor garden would be a depressing image of underwatered, dead things, with evil looking weeds abound, but I will try to find some of the hubby's nicer pictures of HIS gardening which is beautiful, and see what I can whip up.

hi there! great to have you aboard! is this in photoshop? it's some nice modeling. I've got the next theme coming up this sunday. I wonder if there's a way to keep a list current so we can see who's on when? Shantel do you have any ideas?

Re: "let's illustrate no.1 - "together in the garden"

Thanks Cassie Yes, this is Photohop with standard brush and smudge tool, thats the only soft I have got here at the moment. However next time I will use Painter, prefer it for that type of work. i am looking forward next theme

Re: "let's illustrate no.1 - "together in the garden"

Here's mine. Wasn't sure I'd get to it, and if I managed that, wasn't sure I could upload it (having trouble getting anything but gif's uploaded) .
Anyway, here goes. I'm trying it as an attachment.
