Re: THE Comic Project!

Bert, nice start!!! You are definately getting a good layout going on here. I like the fact that you're putting in lots of detail. I wanted to see what it would look like if it was heavy with detail. I'm still doing my layout for the splash page, so I've not got anything defintate to show, hope to soon.

Keep us posted!

Terry

Re: THE Comic Project!

Well, I kinda like to do a few character sketches before I get into something like this, and this is my first attempt at the character Fazzlov. Let me know what you think. I still have to create the Cat/ape creature too.

Re: THE Comic Project!

I like it! I wouldn't let him babysit my kids, but I like it!

Hey, quick question. Do elves have fire places in the trees? I know it doesnt sound quite right, but them being craftsman & all. Was gonna put one in last frame, but wasnt sure if this was big no-no.

Re: THE Comic Project!

Welcome tonia! don't worry, you'll be just like the rest of us...just give it some time.

Bert,

Elf 101 states that all elven trees are magically enhanced and can actually support a fire via their own life energy.

Re: THE Comic Project!

I agree with bayoudragon, you can do the fireplace thingy with no problems on my end. Being the excellent craftsmen that these elves are, it would be nice to see what they would do in making a fireplace.

Bert lovely work so far! It's really 'comic' like!

Terry, he's a cute little guy...reminds me of someone green and short of the Star Wars genre ...

Re: THE Comic Project!

OH my!

Now I know why he was so easy to design! I really didn't have that character in mind when designing this imp. I wanted and old craggily lookin human, with large ears. He would be somewhat smaller than humans, but not as small as Yoda. The cane was an afterthought. Egads, now when I look at him, I'll have the other creature in mind. ( Oh well, we'll see how he translates into the splash page that I am working on.

Thanks for coming by!!!

Terry

Re: THE Comic Project!

Oh, I bounce back quite well. I just didn't see him like that until you mentioned it. Funny what pops up into their heads when they see stuff like that. I'll try not to enhance the look to make him any more Yoda-like. LOL!

And your comments are always welcome!

Re: THE Comic Project!

Three more frames to go! I'm hoping to have it inked by Sunday.
I am going to simplify alot by inking different weight lines rather than put in all the feathering & crosshatching I was thinking of. I havent actually had to do a whole page for a while so I'm alot slower than I remember, and the coupla hours I get to draw seem to FLY by. But I'm still having fun with it!
