Great Idea Marty. I live in Florida and paint on both coasts regularly.

Love,

Re: Poll:Marine Art Forum

Having not read the 5 pages of this thread (skimming the first and last two) I see you guys do mean business. It's a very interesting idea to have a place all things seafaring, fish wiggling, and oceanic. I had initially voted no, thinking most of this is already incorporated, but MartyC's considerable illiteration turned me around... just one thing Marty, you spelled my name wrong in the pm, it's not Norbeto, it's Norberto...

Good luck with this!

Bobby

Re: Poll:Marine Art Forum

Would a Marine Forum include lakes, rivers, streams, etc.? Or would it be just ocean scenes?

Dianne, I LOVE the painting you posted!

Hi I voted yes also. Nothing is more dazzling that a terrific Seascape. Many have been produced on these forums.

Re: Poll:Marine Art Forum

I voted yes, I spent the last ten years of my Air Force life at Vandenberg Air Force Base. It had 35+ miles of beautiful ocean views on California's Central Coast. 45 minutes north of Santa Barbara and 45 minutes south of San Louis Obispo. I miss the dive trips and the lunch time strolls along the beach.......

Good question. Where do you draw the line waterwise? The Great Lakes are large enough to qualify as seas in their own right - they have shipping, ports, the whole shebang, only fresh instead of salty. On the other hand the Dead Sea is classed as a sea but it wouldn't get my vote as a place for a swim. Tidal rivers are in, as are estuaries. I guess we could debate this issue if (and hopefully when) the forum gets up and running. I sure wouldn't want to exclude great water works just because they are fresh water based.

That is a great painting Dianne, the colours in the spray are wonderful. Are you trying to jump the gun and claim first post in the Marine Forum?

Perhaps it should be a "Waterscapes" forum instead of "Marine"?

Re: Poll:Marine Art Forum

How about Waterscapes and Marine! Ocean is kind of different from lakes and rivers but it all could be in one forum.

I'm just amazed it's taken you so long to get here! I hope you forgive me for teasing you about it, but I thought it (and the timing of it) was really funny.
