I know right. I have to be in St. Jacobs in a couple weeks, mine would have gotten to you faster if I waited then drove it up there with me and mailed it from my sisters house.

Love the poppies. We have them in front of our house every year. They grow in strange configurations.

and Thanks too to Jeanne for this stunning, captivating face!! alive!

This is such a fun way to build a collection of amazing work. Meanwhile I have completed 7 (maybe not quite so amazing) cards and they will be in the mail on Monday. Then back to the drawing board...

Not being a miniaturist and inspired by Virginia's comment about including sculpture, I went to the Museum of Fine Art in Boston (i live about an hour away - lucky me!) and I took pictures of statues - things with faces. I focused on drawing the faces with pencil. But of course I'm a painter so I couldn't leave it at that and added watercolor washes. You'll see... and now some of you have me thinking about colored pencil... hhmmm... maybe...

ah so inspiring!!

This is autismart's card based on an "Interesting Story" by Laura Lyall Muntz, a Canadian Impressionist.

Re: Project Discussion: Painting the Masters ATC Trade

Stephanie, how fun to go that museum and find inspiration there! I should check out their online collection. I just know it will be good!
Canít wait to see your cards soon.🙂

Sandy, you mentioned my borders on my cards. It is accomplished simply by using green painters tape, secured and sealed down very well. I find it does not leave residue as long as donít use heat from a hairdryer to dry your paintings faster. The hair dryer is a great help though. I have done cards with or without it. I decided without it this time, and the borders were nice and clean because of that. To make up speed, I would have 2 paintings taped and on the go beside each other at the same time. 😉
