Hal, yes this is similar to Charles Ewings technique. I like it a lot. This and the Indian are the first two I've done this way. I like being able to erase and cut in to get what I want. You do some wonderful things with the whites. I'm eager to do more.

Patrick this is not Willie. I tend to stay away from celebrity images due to copyright issues, though I would so enjoy doing Willie's wonderful face. Here is a pic of Willie and the reference that was my inspiration.I didn't want to just copy my reference, so made changes to turn it into the grizzled old-timer remembering his westering days.
