Niko. At least the lepers have a place. We dont.
I am, of course, kidding when I refer to the abstractionists as lepers.
Perhaps the problem is I don't see what you hope to achieve with a Classical forum. What, exactly
would you be considering appropriate things to be placed there. And don't fob me off by saying classical this and classical that. Define it all, as if to an idiot, because, well, hello!
What if I had the chance to see a glorious sculpture that I would have missed otherwise. What if that very sculpture changed my area of study.
What if. What if. There's a fair amount of cross posting going on here as it is, and I can only see the addition of that forum to add to that. Your main complaint seems to be "The abstractionists and modernists have one, I want!"
Where is it that you feel like you don't belong? Do you not draw? Do you not paint? Do you not represent the figure, landscapes, what?
Do you want to discuss art history in the classical forum? The abstract forum, from what I've seen, is primarily for the display of abstract work and discussion of the process of abstraction.
Do we really need a forum for the display of neoclassical work and on the process of making things look like the things they're supposed to look like?
I guess I just really don't understand what it is that you want. All it seems like right now is that you want attention.
No offense intended, of course.
