Title: Dismissed
Year Created:
Medium: Acrylic
Surface: Paper
Dimension: 18 x 24
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

A sickly male Therizinosaurus tries to display to a female, who dismisses the male. The scene takes place on an autumn day in the Cretaceous.

The display sacs on the neck of the male were inspired the sage grouse. However, this is speculative.

Feedback on the artistic side is most needed.

I would like feedback on the overall composition.

Colors, brushwork, lighting, etc.

Scientific critique is unneeded, but welcomed.

Re: Dismissed

interesting little prehistoric adventures you've delved into.

comp is better in this one - i like how you've allowed the larger character to grow above/cross the horizon.
contrast needs work tho, you've lost the smaller character with the lack of contrast/values and the larger one has quite a confusing mish mash of contrast/values so i'm having a hard time understanding what's dino and what's trees.
and what, is going on, with that leaning left tree?

greyscale attached for your ponderings.
