A small portrait

I'm not a portrait painter, as you can tell. But I was interested in testing the paints a little further (and test myself ). This is a 5" x 5" gouache study on paper. C&C very welcomed! Portrait artists, be gentle!

The revised painting above somehow deleted the previous photo.. Anyway, this is a photo of the painting after some tweaking. I glazed the skin with a warm tone, for starters..
