Almost Full Bloom

Sunflower. Pen stipple work on watercolour paper. I really enjoy stipple work, although it drives people watching me crazy Doing it taught me a lot about values and shapes. So if you haven't tried it yet why not give it a chance.

Really gorgeous, Sanlynn, and does not need color. Sunny perfection!

Re: Almost Full Bloom

Beautiful!

Lol, yes I've done stippling but only use it when necessary now! ..... but it is excellent for depicting changing tone and form smoothly.

Very nice Sanlynn, what patience you must have to do all those dots.

Re: Almost Full Bloom

Beautiful stippling work. I enjoy stippling too, I find it very absorbing. Lovely details and values in the petals.

Re: Almost Full Bloom

Thanks for your wonderful comments. I guess I do have patience to do this type of work. It's exciting for me to see it develop into something tangible from simple little dots

Re: Almost Full Bloom

Another lovely stippled piece, stronger values than the lily, excellent work.
