Nice portfolio!
One thing I would address is the navigation. If your purpose is to provide a means for potential clients to view your portfolio then you really need to make it easy for them to do so. The use of generic symbols for your navigation is confusing and hampers the flow of the site.
What I like to do is sit my 63 year old mom in front of my web designs and have her click through the process. If she asks a question or I see her hunting for a specific bit of information then I know I need to go back to the drawing board and rethink my site's usability.
I know that the symbols you have chosen are well known to the computer hip but to assume that everyone knows what those symbols mean is not a good idea. As web designers we tend to overlook the fact that since we see our designs day in and day out it makes perfect sense to us. We really need to get past that and make sure it makes perfect sense to out target audience.
A web site is different then a piece of art work where it's acceptable for the piece to be subjective to every person that sees it. A web site is a business tool that is used to market a specific commodity, whether that commodity is a physical product or a person. One should strive to make it easy for that commodity to be sold.
Regardless, I am very impressed with your portfolio and the overall look and feel of the site. Maybe just a few tweaks here and there will really make it shine.
Good luck.
