Re: Decorate Your Own Mailbox!
Some people are just way to creative WOW what a wonderful idea...it is so cute, I love it! I don't like those stupid looking red flags either, the carrot is so much cuter! Great job, and thanks so much for sharing this great idea!

Re: Decorate Your Own Mailbox!
This looks like fun. Maybe in the spring I will try to paint something on my mailbox. I'll have to use exterior paints for these parts.

Re: Decorate Your Own Mailbox!
Is the mailbox metal or plastic? I want to paint a flat black, plastic mailbox and and concerned about brushing the acrylic paint directly onto the plastic? Do I need a primer or spray an outdoor clear polyurethane on it when completed?

Re: Decorate Your Own Mailbox!
I REALLY enjoyed your mailbox lesson, Leslie! You INSPIRED me!!! Your incorporation of the carrot flag was truly clever! I've painted mailboxes years ago and have been intending to do another one, soon. Your tips will help me do a better job than in the past! Using a chalk transfer will be a real help, I'm sure. Thanks again!!!
