The Canyon
This is one of my earlier paintings loosely based on Kings Canyon,Outback Australia. I look back at these now and can appreciate how I have progressed as a artist since joining WC. The opportunity to learn thru its forum members makes up for not being able to pursue lessons. Not only that but I have the opportunity to learn from many "Teachers".

Linda, outback Australia is stunning with its colours and escarpments. Trouble is I never get to see them but have a retired cousin who travels extensively, so I raid his photos

Oldrad, you never said a truer word. When I transferred to Oils, I read everythings on the net I could find. Boy did I get in a mess One trip to the oil forum and they had me sorted... The fact that people go out of their way to help you and advise, giving you their time is awesome, gives you a greater trust in the human race.
