New Zealand landscapes

I have been painting for the last 5 years but they have mainly been aviation paintings. This year I decided to try my hand at landscape. All are New Zealand scenes and oil on canvas. These are the results. Love to have your comments.

State Highway 50 Hawkes Bay 2000x250mm

Moana Reserve South Island NZ 760x600mm

Mount Cook South Island NZ 600x500

Sunrise over Te Mata Peak Hawkes bay NZ 760x600mm

I agree with Gary and Dave; outstanding works.

The Mt Cook one certainly has an aviation look to it, beautiful.

Re: New Zealand landscapes

These are so lovely and all are familiar to me except Moana reserve.
I can't see the first one as my tablet won't let me but I'll have a look on the cmputer tomorrow. Hope to see more of your NZ work.

Re: New Zealand landscapes

Astounding works - nice!

The first one is wonderfully stylized, and I like that sweeping view.

The second and third are very realistic. I love the sense of really being there, and they have a strong feeling of representing a specific place - a "slice of life" in the landscape.

The last one is dramatic and reminds me of the Hudson River School painters, with their huge, colorful skies and magnificent vistas.
