Florence Siebert

Florence Barbara Seibert (1897 – 1991) was an American biochemist. She is best known for identifying the active agent in the antigen tuberculin as a protein, and subsequently for isolating a pure form of tuberculin, purified protein derivative (PPD), enabling the development and use of a reliable Tuberculosis test.
Seibert has been inducted into the Florida Women's Hall of Fame and the National Women's Hall of Fame.
This work was done on an Arches paper, 16X20, using Panpastel, and General charcoal pencils.

Thank you Wassie, however I made some minor changes, and I guess this is the final work. I learned that you never finish an art work completely!

Re: Florence Siebert

Good question! The reference photo was also blurry and I wanted to reproduce it with that feeling, and concentrate only on the eyes, and it was also a quick work. The reference photo was rather simple and that caught my attention. Since then I have added more subtle values.
