Sometimes I wonder why... lol!

Sometimes when I am scraping off my palette I look at my clean up rag and think “damn this looks better than my painting!” Haha!! Anyone else experience this?? Sorry for the useless thread... Just a bit of fun!

Mix all of that together and it will give you a nice neutral for a 'mother' color.

Re: Sometimes I wonder why... lol!

Sometime ago someone posted a bunch of rags used to wipe brushes.
I have no Idea who, but they were quite interesting, truly "non-objective abstracts"

If framed and presented properly, anything can be called "art", even a banana apparently...

I love this photograph. It is a work of Art. I describes what we do in a very striking way. If it was a poster I would buy it, on a t-shirt I would buy it. I would especially buy it on a coffee mug.

Post it on Fine Art America, you might be surprised if you do.
Let us know. I really really like this!

What Greggo said. His prose is always perfect.
I love used palettes and the detritus of cleaning up. The composition in your photo is fabulous.

Sometimes I wonder why , Period. It makes me think of waste produced from painting and to give myself a slap on the wrist every time I lazy and feel tempted to not dispose of anything hazardous or to harm the delicate balance of all the plants and animals in the outside natural habitat

Happens to me all the time. I have a box full of little bits of paper that have interesting splodges or colour combos. They sometimes get incorporated into collages. Any particularly interesting painting rags get a bit of machine embroidery added then get made into something.

Re: Sometimes I wonder why... lol!

Two of my favorite abstracts were built over time from my palette scrapings....

Tidal I cannot be more on your side on this subject... If we think about the banana on the wall or the goldfish in a blender etc... It´s a crazy way of seeing art
