I’ve clocked about 15 hours so far. There’s mistakes here and there but overall I’m satisfied with it.
Here’s the near finished work and the reference. Color is non-representative as my phone’s camera isn’t faithful.
The progress:

April 26, 2018 at 11:37 pm #611887Hi Raichu. Very nice work you have put a lot of effort into the layout and painting. The only suggestion I can make that may improve it is to make the jug and cup slightly warmer. When you look at the photo these have a very slight yellow colour compared to the egg.
April 27, 2018 at 12:26 am #611885Hello Kiffin. I noticed the yellow they have. But as it seemed a highlight for me, I ended up using a blue tone to represent the reflections of the background, so as to not make the colors too disconnected, as if they did not belong there.
I don’t know if that’s a more correct approach, it’s just my rationale.
Ed.: Your feedback is appretiated, btw

April 28, 2018 at 10:46 am #611883Very well painted with great results, superb lighting and I love the grain in the wood.
Personally, I would have placed one of the orange items on the left among the white items on the right in the original composition, just to break all that white up a little more, but I still like your finished piece very much.
April 28, 2018 at 1:39 pm #611886Thank you David.

May 26, 2018 at 8:57 pm #611884The painting is just lovely, and the work there reflects the amount of thought and care you have put in. .. well done. Just to say, the yellow on the egg, jug and cup is the light being reflected from the orange and the jam.
Painting is a complete distraction. I know of nothing which, without exhausting the body, more entirely absorbs the mind. Winston Churchill
