Use to denote nudity/mature subject matter Mr ... Nooo, can't say

I really cannot disclose the subject. It was fun to paint loosely for this one.

A client with a sense of humour - a Van Gogh tie.

A few details for those interested. I don't know how these will look online.

Re: Mr ... Nooo, can't say

Thanks, Carol. As I mentioned elsewhere, I was a bit worried about the loose treatment - I feel a painting is about the subject, but it is also about the paint.

I had a phone call from the client (the Secretary General - no, not that one ) saying he liked how I captured John's character, yet I still had a "painting". I was very happy.

Nice to see you back posting again Triple J, your humour has been missed.
Looks like you have lots to show and say since we last saw you.

If the client is happy no one else matters he seems a little bemused about something. Some people want to make the process invisible but you are not some people.

The colours are simple but effective- and really good paint handling.

Great job James, particularly his hands : just enough detail.

Jimmy Jim!! Nice job sir! That's funny about the tie. I'd say you got a vote of confidence with the comment about it being painterly. I always wonder what is the point with making a painting look like a photo. It should look like a painting.
