Cathy, I think the minor corrections you made to the feet/log area make a world of difference. It reads right to me. Spectacular work, as usual. Looking forward to the next piece!

It is breathtakingly stunning! I too also have that darn dust problem I don't know how you would get rid of it.

Cathy, you've created something spectacular, here. With Lorna's elephants and this, I feel like this forum is truly at the forefront of current wildlife art. Really special.

Oh, and the feet look great. No-one who didn't hear you wondering about them in the first place will ever perceive anything short of perfection.

There's a huge amount of work in that background and it just reads perfectly. I'm glad you overexposed it as it really shows what you've created. Awesome work Cathy

An absolutely stunning piece Cathy...everything reads perfectly. I love the background, I wish I could see this in person. Any chance you'll have it in Indy??

The power and intensity of this piece is matched only by its beauty.

Re: "Walking The Line" - Big Cougar - FINISHED

Thanks everyone! You guys sure know how to make me feel good

Lorna due to the size and the fact I am flying I highly doubt I will bring it to Indy. It will be going to the Greeley Stampede before then, where it could potentially sell, though I am putting a fairly high price on it due to the massive hours it took to complete. There is a slight chance if it doesn't sell that I will ship it to Mary's to get it scanned after Greeley, but timing would be tight to have it there for the workshops (Stampede pick up will be July 5).

Cathy I think this turned out perfect. If it has to look exactly like the ref then why bother. It's your interpretation of the ref that makes it a thing of beauty and value. Great BG and your color work is once again awwwwesome.

Re: "Walking The Line" - Big Cougar - FINISHED

The only thing I can think to say that no one else has covered is: the new title is excellent! I like the slight play on words, "Line" "Lion", I like the reference to the thin line most cougars find themselves on in terms of population/conservation, and it also makes me think of "Walk the Line" and Johnny Cash's voice, which plays very well for the "ornery" look on this cat's face.
