Re: red taxi !!

thanks chas , i know where you are comming from with the "green " mainly i reccon it is because of the gloss surface you are getting reflections from all the surrounding grass i painted a red eurocoper squirrel that i painted reflected green underneath

there are difrences in the cockpit area as i am using two difrent images to aquire something a little difrent

but mostly the critique is most apreciated chas !! but i'm using this as an experimental loitering painting ( mainly to play with "open " acrylics ) but also something to do in my downtime at work and to fill in time before a wall mural commision and a commision of a friends motorcycle combination racer at the IOM ..TT ..

Re: red taxi !!

got to admit though never tried mixing red and green as they are opposites on the colour wheel you would assume grey would be achieved so maybe a glaze ?? i will probably give it a wizz later today or tommorow as i have a couple of days off .. but i'm planning on doing some engineering work today at a friends unit for some therapy after an intense week at my regular job !!

Re: red taxi !!

calling it done as it has served it's purpose for what i wanted out of it !! ( mainly trying interactive acrylics ) still won't be going back to acrylics any time soon !! but they are a viable alternative for using at work and are a very good alternative to oils

what i found strange for a begginers set was the unusual colours !! i found having no yellow ochre included or black was quite od in a comprehensive colour set and had to add some colours i normaly can't live without paynes grey ( but my local suppliers were out of it ) so i gave purple a shot in the clouds and am quite pleased with a difrent forced aproach that if anything on the learning curve has taught me not to automaticaly reach for the same colour all the time

Re: red taxi !!

yep could do with something there but it is only an experimental piece and the decision to leave it there has been made

also it is nice to have a signing area for team members if the chance arises at southport airshow this year !!
