If you are having trouble getting a fine end by erasing, you could always draw in the shadow/background around the hair. That is how Mike Sibley draws hair - negatively.

Hello Pat ... welcome.

This isn't a competition but just a challenge thread with the idea of getting people to try things that they may find difficult or perhaps have some fear of doing. Everyone is welcome to participate and do their best regardless of their level of skill.

Your work is excellent!!! The fur is very believable and all edges are handled well with a good range of values and textures.

There is, however, one thing that jumped out at me. I took the liberty of adding a catchlight to one eye for your consideration as I've been talking about that here lately ... but I honestly believe drawings look better with added catchlights even if they don't have them in the reference. Compare the eyes in this and see which one you think looks better. Keep in mind that I'm really bad at "drawing" with a mouse and tiny little squares.

Thanks for the feedback Ken. Yes I was worried by the fact that there was no catchlight and I agree putting one in adds to the appeal.
